Today was a really bright and sunny day. Started breezy and early, went through the morning routines smoothly and got into a good shape to have a fun and happening day.
The good thing about getting into a rhythm of writing daily is that it tends to sharpen the mind. Ideas and thoughts start appearing at various odd moments... Mostly coming together in bunches.
So I got a couple of brainwaves today which I am excited to consider for implementing. One of them is to start a new blog on my amateurish attempts to experience, discover and learn meditation. The other is to use this 100 HappyDays challenge to create a lexicon of words that can be associated with happy emotions. Call these synonyms, metaphors or simply symbols.... The intention is to create a multi-dimensional model with an array of options for anyone to choose from or add to while trying to experience happiness.
As they say in Hindi - "nek kaam mein deri nahi honi chahiye" viz. there need not be any delay in implementing a good deed or action. My first synonym is.........is a word called "momentum" which refers to the tendency of a phenomena to persist even when the original energy has stopped. In terms of sport, it refers to a psychological advantage gained by an individual or a team which allows a sustainable self-belief or robs the opponent of the same.
The 100 HappyDays challenge that I am currently making slow but steady progress on is all about building a bank of positive energy one day at a time. The whole idea is that energy cycles are called so because they can ebb and flow depending on many factors.
My focus is not on finding mundane of artificial reasons or excuses to prove that I have experienced happiness. My endeavour is to build a crescendo of positivity which will sweep aside those niggling days when doubts creep up or when it may seem that the circumstances are just too unfair. I choose to call this a "momentum banking drive" over a 100 day period which actually won't stop there. This enthusiasm and experience will continue to grow and serve me well forever.
But it is just not for me to control or benefit from this banks .... Why not spread happiness and joy all around the world and make it more joyful? It is my firm belief that happiness grows multi folds when shared with others. Even the great Buddha believes in this idea when he gives us this wonderful quote -
"Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened ~ Happiness never decreases by being shared".
So pls join me in my mission and do take every possible benefit from the "Happiness Bank"
Love
God bless
